Well Mitch, as always the precise descriptions are very appreciated , well just to keep myself from being scarred by the site of an old fart with E.D. running around, I would probably go with fairy boy and just hate myself in the morning .

In reality, I would probably just not play the game if either outcome were for the entire game though.

So Snake, is the anticipation of graduation just driving you nuts?  (No pun intended)

If by anticipation you mean insane headaches for post-high school education, then yes.

If by anticipation you mean general excitement of graduating, then no.

Yeah you've kinda got going through your head what I had going through my head at the time .

Life after high school is interesting if nothing else.

Where are you going to go to college?

UT Knoxville my entire four years if I can get in for the fall semester (I sent my application late).

If not, I'm doing a semester at Pellissippi State and then transferring to UT in January.

Sounds cool, hopefully UT will accept you .

Would you ever consider doing any backyard wrestling?

Willfully? No. Wrestling may be considered 'manly' by some, but watching my school's wrestling team wearing tight spandex groping each other in odd places has turned me completely away from wrestling in general.

Well watching Aaron and some of my other friends backyard wrestle, I would equate it to more like the Roman Gladiator tournaments...bloody if you will.  Aaron and one of his friend's have a barbwire match coming up in the near future, and I'm invited to watch.  I like it, but I swear one day one of them is going to kill the other if they're not careful.

Do you like music by Seal?

Well some of his stuff is pretty good, most of it is relatively soft, but I'm into many forms of music.  The only style I don't like at all would be country.

He's been around since about 1990 and some of my favorite songs were done in his earlier years.

Here's his official website: www.seal.com

You heard anything about Windows Vista?

I haven't looked much into it lately.

Not a whole lot on Vista.

I know it uses a special type of DirectX that royally screws game developers who prefer OpenGL.

I know that with a certain type of Intel processor it can be ultra-intrusive to your private stuff.

I know that the overall interface is very pretty.

I know that MS actually bought a bunch of Macintosh computers with the latest Mac OS and took several of the 'good' features from them to implement into Vista.

I know that with it's new and improved security features, that pirating will be extremely difficult.

And finally, I know that I'll be sticking with XP until it has a major price drop or gives me some specific reason to get it (Halo 2 exclusiveness? Please, that game sucked).

Well I've heard that everything with Vista will be key protected and will require the serial numbers to everything hardware and software on your computer, and without it the OS will lock up your system.  That being said I'll be sticking with XP until I start seeing computers actually built with Vista on the already because I'm not going to track down all my serial numbers and delete my *cough* free software .

Oh sorry, I forgot to pose an inquiry .

Do you know what those 'better' functions of Mac OS that Microsoft is going to incorporate into Vista?

Umm...prettiness?

It's just stuff with the UI and program functions that supposedly work better. Not sure what they are, though.

So basically just a silver lining eh, oh well I guess that's not too bad.

Are you going to commute or live in a dorm at UT?

Personally, I'll just commute

Commuting FTW.

I wouldn't mind living in a dorm, but that's a crapload more on the money side that you have to dish out. Plus, I'm close enough to just live at home and drive there. No since not taking advantage of something.

Sounds good.  I assume that it will be related to either graphical special effects or game design, is that a reasonable assumption?

Yeps. My courses will cover (I think) A ) Vector art, B ) Logo desing, C ) Texture Creation, D ) Website design, and any other form of graphical...thingy they want to toss in there.

Mainly, I want to learn how to do character portraits and game UI systems. I've got some very basic experience with character portraits (Here's a face I'm working on for a character in a story I'm co-writing - it's very rough, but gives an example of where I want to go...and yes, it's from scratch).

Actually it's quite good.  I'm going for more of a programming architecture so that I can be more of a programmer.  I'm far better at that than drawing so I figure hey why not? .

You know that character face looks similar to your Oblivion female character, at least to me it does.

How's that game going for you?

It looks similar because I used the Oblivion face as a reference. Good eye with that.

And the game has gotten kinda boring, actually. I've pretty much done everything.

Ah, well it did resemble her.  Is this story based in the past, present, or future?

Well I'm going to save up for a 360 and I'll get it on that platform since I kinda prefer to play on a console.  I just never got used to the whole keyboard and mouse thingy .

The story is in the near future (within about 150 years), and takes place in the area that is currently China. The US falls about 90 years prior to the story, so a good portion of inhabitants from the late US have moved to this area, making it a primarily English speaking place.

Okay I'm going to have to read this, I just love futuristic tales that are dark .

Are you going to publish it, or will it be like a fan fiction?

It'll be published :)

We're just finishing the first draft now. Over the next year or so, we're gonna rewrite and refine it. I'll give you some more details on it when it's a bit more coherent (it's not that you'll really get lost right now, it's just that there's a ton of loopholes).

Well I'm looking forward to, I mainly just write for pleasure, and never plan on publishing because I'm more for making like fan fics, I need to post more of what I have, but I'm wanting to get to certain points in my stories before I'm willing to allow others to read them.  However as I said in another post I'm only really working on two fics actively right now so many of my other ideas are on hold for the time being .

Any thoughts on a title?

Oh, yeah, it's got a title already. Like I said, we're pretty much through the first rough write. I'll write up a synopsis sometime soon and post it here.

If you don't mind what's the title?

I'm definately going to have to read this .  I'm into the whole Scifi thing so what can I say I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to stuff like this .

Just like when I found out that there's going to be a season ten of Stargate SG-1

The title at the moment is "The Fall of Itranix".

It's about a utopian society (Itranix) that was formed after the US and China fell (their falls are not related, both were destroyed due to internal problems). This society is supposedly the best it can get.

However, shortly after China fell, several smaller groups began fighting for power in the area. The area was claimed by a group known as the Riijame for a short time, but they were quickly overthrown. However, the Riijame didn't take kindly to that and vowed to come back into power. Along the way, there is a power shift, leading to the creation of Itranix. The Riijame miss this change and think that it was the fault of Itranix that they were overthrown, so they decide to take the land back.

They attack when noone expects it, decimating the Itraxian capital of Isis in under two days. The Itraxian military is unable to do much, being that their primary force was caught off guard. However, a platoon of soldiers was on vacation in a distant town when the battle erupted. That team, led by a young soldier named Vahe Everett, make their way back to Isis and begin to fight the Riijame. The emperor of Itranix, Remnan (I can't remember his last name right now), is quickly escorted to an in-penetrable bunker, along with as many Itraxian survivors as they can fit. His personal fighting team, the Royal Guard, is deployed to distract the Riijame as the emperor is escorted to safety, which leads to Major Saeyn Delorian's fighter craft being shot down.

The story starts after these events, with Saeyn being resurrected from his crash by a program called 'New Life Mark VI', a special program used on important Itraxian personel to save their minds for reimplementation in their old (repaired) bodies, or genetically cloned bodies. He sets off to take care of a special mission for Remnan, and things start to role from there.

Meanwhile, Vahe and his group of surviving soldiers try to make their way to the bunker to offer reinforcement. This is where their story starts.

There are several other characters, but those are the primary characters at the beginning. I can give you more info if you like.
