On A.D. 2005, September 3, war was ending.


CATS and his army was beaten by Mitch and all our base was return to us.


Actually, Zero Wing was an awesome game, but the ending made me want to cry.....not like the ending to Final Fantasy 10, or KOTOR.......cry like "Why would they do this to me?!?!?!?" cry.

What an anticlimactic ending though. Eggplant things dancing to classical music. Bleh.

It's just a space shooter.


It's got a funny (and horribly translated) opening cutscene, and quite frankly, I'm surprised no one has typed it before.


In AD 2101


War was beginning.....


Captain: What happen?


Mechanic: Somebody set up us the bomb.


Operator: We get signal.


Captain: What!


Operator: Main screen turn on.


(Main screen turns  on revealing the villian, CATS)


Captain: It's you!


CATS: How are you gentlemen!


CATS: All your base are belong to us.


CATS: You are on the way to destruction.


Captain: What you say!


CATS: You have no chance to survive make your time.


CATS: Ha ha ha ha....


Operator: Captain!


Captain: Take off every "zig"!


Captain: You know what you doing.


Captain: Move Zig.


Captain: For great justice.

So um...was there any form of ending before that, or just the mystical jelly beans floating through space? Either way, I am DEEPLY saddened by that screen shot.

Ok, here's how it ends.


You fight this large ship that no doubt has CATS in it. The only reason that this ship is any different from the other boss ships is that its parts keep regenerating. I'm not even sure how I beat it.


But anyways, afterwards, the screen goes black and in big gold letters it says:


CONGRATULATIONS!


Then the eggplants do their wierd dance to classical music. (If you've ever seen the movie Moulin Rouge, it's the music that they sing to when the guy and the girl get caught together and they say that they were just rehearsing for a play that they just made up and they sing about how it goes.)


Then when the random is over, they just start you back at Natols (Level 1).

Well, the only reason I even played it is because of it's great popularity (even with those who don't play games). Aside from it's ending (if you can even call it that....), it's definetly worth playing.


Check it out if you have a Sega Genesis emulator.

perhaps one day when i have some extra time, but right now i barely have enough time to do anything other than study for my classes :sigh:  oh well, but in a few more years i can get into a 9 to 5 routine and have some more freetime
