In case Jena didn't tell you, the girl HM for the gamecube is MUCH easier than the original one for guys.

Pros:

You start off being able to sell crops as well as dairy. You don't have to have 3rd generation crops to sell produce.

You can train your dog.

Cons:

You know that field that is "very fertile"? It's overgrown and we haven't been able to figure out if you can use it or not.

Still can't figure out what the heck is in that one building next to the "very fertile" field.

ur leaving out that the pasture that u can let ur animals into to graze is not growing grass and that u have to spread fertilizer all over te place to make it grow

The closest thing to a Springer case in a Harvest Moon game would be Carter the pastor of the church.

In the PS version, you confess to him in the confessional, and if you haven't been forgiven yet, he'll be like "You have things you must learn before you can be truly forgiven. Please come back and confess again, my friend." You know, friendly type.

In the GBA if you haven't been forgiven yet, he'll be like "I can't belive scum like you exists! How can you live with yourself after throwing your trash on the ground!?!?!?!? The Harvest Goddess has not yet forgiven you! You have a lot to answer for and you're gonna burn in hell you son of a b**ch! Please come back and confess again, my friend."

He's more freindly in the PS in case you haven't figured it out.

Indeed......Carter does eventually turn the church into a school when he sees that the kids don't have a place to get an education (what with living out in the boonies and all that) and since there's only 2 kids, he starts a school......that sounds......incriminating, almost.

The reason why they have that problem in the Catholic church is because they don't allow the priests to get married....and people need sex. It's a biological fact. It's what drives us.

Catholicism isn't really my cup of tea, but yeah, that's what they have on Harvest Moon.

ok well i got the HM More FoMT and right now im in summer of the first year and im not sure who im going to marry although ive narowed it down to 2 ppl. The Doctor and Cliff are the 2 that i have narrowed it down to cliff likes me as a friend so far and the Doctor likes me none. in any case i got married on HM Another WL and ok its interesting i started out in the game with a mirror and the regular batchelorett pad but after u get married when u look in the mirror (which im not sure y the put the mirror in the game to begin with mabe just for laughs but anyways) u say diff. things one that i thought was weired was " i can be just like Celia.........well mabe i cant"

Yep. And yes, you CAN get divorced. But to do that, you have to not talk to your spouse.....or give him/her things he/she doesn't like. Eventually, you'll be left with an "I'm leaving you (and taking the baby if you have one)" note. All the marriable people in town will dissapear.

So...yeah, don't do all that, unless you want a divorce, which I'm not sure why you'd want one since you can't remarry anyway.

Just don't forget to give stuff to the other villagers as well, Jena. Otherwise, they'll think that you're just a sleasy skank, if you only pay attention to the eligible guys. Give stuff to your girl-friends as well. Just not as much.....but remember that you can't leave them out.

Actually Mitch, I don't think they practice the Catholic beliefs. They DO practice the methods, but your confessing to a guy who says the 'goddess' has not forgiven you. That goddess being some person who plays games on TV and can marry you. So in reality, the religion on HM is more of a Pagan religion, not Catholicism.

Paganism- Belief in several or no gods/supernatural entities, including creatures or monsters (such as Grendel in Beowulf and Dragons).

My reasoning in saying its more Pagan is that you are forgiven by a goddess (although it never says there is no God, so it isn't by-the-books Pagan), and you interract with a fish-type creature that speaks to you. I didn't say it WAS Pagan, I said it follows more along the lines of a Pagan religion. I wasn't knocking Harvest Moon or anything.
