i have peoplepc so my internet sucks too i'm not really in a position to have cable internet, and they don't run dsl where i live so i'm stuck with dial-up. pardon me while i grow a beard while downloading a picture from a video game

now the laptop is down so i can't get fast internet now at pellissippi unless i use their computers, but i can't really download on them because they do something called an active audit on the hard drives of their systems that deletes no educational material

its a long story, my antivirus software was on the fritz for a while, and i had to run a system restore just about every two or three days because norton would suffer a fatal error. so i decided to uninstall the software and reinstall it back, well i got norton back on the computer and started to download updates for the software. as with some updates i had to restart my computer, well i went to restart it, the computer shut down like normal, but would never reboot. i tried three or four times to reboot the computer, but it would never reboot, so i grabbed my windows xp disk and went to reinstall windows (knowing i would lose everything) i got windows back up, but my laptop wouldn't recognize half of its hardware so i put in my drivers disk, but my stupid laptop would recognize every disk known to man except my drivers disk, so in a rage i shut down the laptop put it away took a shower and went over to aaron's that night and played halo 2. so it took me three weeks to finally get up the nerve to take it back to the store.

well as u can see my internet is up again i didnt know that mitch had anounced that my internet was down again so when i did i thought i might as well respond seeing as how he notified everyone and i thank him for that. anyways ya ive been back on the forum for about 3 days and i was just now finding out that he posted that. anyways its good to be back.

well, i learned a lesson kiddos. it'll be a very cold day in hell before i buy anything from circuit city ever again. i asked them to fix my computer, and they did like half the work and right now while i'm on my desktop, i'm having to finish the dirty work for them. f*** circuit city.

no my warrenty covered it, but i'm going to have to take the godda** thing back because i can't get the fu***** computer to recognize my speakers and i'm really pissed right now. those sons of bit**** have lost a customer. i'm going to have to go there and take the computer back one day next week because if i went now i'd go balistic and threaten the guy over at the store with his life. i hate modern technology

well i don't really hate modern technology, but i'm about spent out with windows, especially windows xp. like i've said before if vista doesn't impress me then screw microsoft, i'll just turn into one of the little fags that have macintoshes dam*it. i've heard that they don't have the problems that windows has so ah he** i don't know anymore.

yeah i usually don't go in there. for me any reason not to go to radio shack is a good reason for me atleast. but yeah i'll never buy anything from circuit city again, atleast the one in knoxville

I honestly don't understand everyones complaint with XP. I've been very pleased with it in the time I've used it, and have never had HALF the problems other people seem to have. I honestly think that half of what happens in XP is user error (not a flame against you XP haters, just my thoughts). As far as the 'blue screen of death' and all of these other errors, I've only had them once or twice in the entire time I've used XP (a week after it was released). I'm currently using Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, and it's one of the best systems I've used in a LONG time.

Don't know anything about that "Blue Screen of Death", other than that it sounds like a good title for a horror movie.....but in any case, I like windows XP. It's what I use.

now i've not used media center 2005, but windows xp home sucks major a**, its unstable... even by windows standards. it crashes every other day, and i've lost count of ho many times my computers have suffered brain farts and have locked up for five minutes at a time forcing me to either wait it out or hard boot the system, and don't give me the "does your computer have a virus trip" because i scan and scan religiously, i make sure that my system is clean of viruses, spyware, etc.. because of a little problem i had earlier this year, and it has made me paranoid.

i never had the problems i've have with xp on windows 98 se, windows 2000, and even WINDOWS 95 kids so yeah.

now i'm not mad or anything, but i'm so over windows period that i'm like two clicks from converting over to apple macintosh
