Ok, for the past month or so Ive been working on a book. Its a bit of my own project, but its also being used in a monthly newletter on another website. Since its monthly, that means I only write one chapter a month. This being the first month of the newsletter, I wrote the prologue. So, here it is (you guys get it three days earlier than the other site, because the newsletter doenst go out till Monday).
The pending title of the story is Orion. The storyline has went through many revisions, so that name may not stick. Oh, and just to warn you, several things in here may seem fairly cliche, so just expect it (that is if you play alot of video games).

The truck bounced along the winding road, agitating the cargo and crew within. A young man of 21, Sergeant Raynor Locklear, sat nearest to the truck's rear double-doors, examining the equipment and crew entrusted to him. As the squad leader, it was his duty to ensure the safety of the passengers located directly in front of him: two UES TITAN units, one being the leader of the entire outfit. Raynor admired their leader, Leander, like a hero. A composed, calm man, Leander had faced death countless times, only to emerge victorious. It was his cunning wit and strategical planning that had earned him the title of a hero in the hearts of the common people. Raynor admired him for much more than his military victories, however, as he was also a man of ethics. Leander had shown an extreme compassion to his enemies; one that was rare in soldiers and rare in any man. Leander's partner, also a TITAN, was another man Raynor admired. Leon Roosevelt, the 23-year-old TITAN that accompanied Leander, was what Raynor considered to be his best friend. The two had undergone training together, both in hopes of achieving the TITAN rank. Due to some conflicts, however, Raynor was forced from the program, and would never have a chance at the TITAN status again. He had mixed feelings for Leon, including an extreme feeling of pride for his friend's success but also a bit of envy. These thoughts soon vanished, however, as a young corporal sat down next to Raynor. "Hey, how you feeling?" asked the corporal, her face burning with excitement. Raynor glared at the 19-year-old corporal and shrugged. "Not too bad...a little car sick. How's the rest of the squad?" The corporal tilted her head slightly, examining the rest of the squad. "Everyone checks out fine. We should be ready to go as soon as we get our orders." Raynor looked at her and nodded his head. This was the first time his squad had been sent on a mission without a briefing. His best guess was that the TITANs had already been briefed, and that his squad was just there as backup. He looked back at Corporal Grace Sullivan and smiled briefly. "Sounds like a baby-sitting mission to me." The truck came to a slow halt as it entered the town. A small town on the outskirts of the Northern District, Tellar was the home of many old-world naturalists. They rejected the technology offered by the UES, and preferred to live off the land. The town was covered with farmland, and wooden buildings composed the heart of the town center. A small group of townsmen met the UES squad as they unloaded the small truck, led by a man named Ramsey. Ramsey was a small man, with a grey mustache and plump figure. The small man greeted Leander, tilting his head to make eye contact. "Welcome to Tellar. I'm Ramsey, the village elder. If we can do anything to help you, let me know." Leander nodded, and gazed around the village. It was mid-autumn, yellow and orange leaves were falling from trees as children crowded the streets, pushing each other into large piles of leaves and hay. After taking in the scenery, Leander returned the elder's gaze and introduced the group. "Thank you for your kindness. My team will need shelter for the a few days, but we brought our own provisions." He glanced at the team, and nodded to Raynor. "The sergeant and his team will unload the supplies and set up a command post here. If you don't mind, I would appriciate it if one of your guides would lead us to the power generator on the outskirts of the town." Ramsey nodded in agreement, and motioned to the man at his right side. "Aden here will show you to the reactor. Just see that no harm comes to him." Leander voiced his agreement, and turned to the team. "Ok, listen up. I know you haven't been briefed on the situation, so here's the deal. It seems a small rebel faction on the outskirts has been causing havok at the Northern Generator Facility. It's been reported that they have found a way inside the reactor core, and have begun to tamper with the energy output. If they were to overload the reactor, then it would bring trouble for the surrounding area. Unload the supplies, and establish a command center here. If we need to evacuate, this will be the easiest place to reach us. As soon as the command post is set up, I'll be leading a small group of you to the reactor. We're gonna get a feel of the area before we start poking our noses into the rebel camp. Any questions?" He surveyed the team, making sure not to miss anything. "Good. We'll head out in one hour."

Leon surveyed the area quickly and called the rest of the team ahead. They had been walking for an hour now, with Leon leading as the point man. Leon took a minute to relax, removing his helmet and scratching his spikey hair, as the rest of the team moved forward. He had joined the TITAN unit a year before, hoping to see some action. To this point, he had only been on search and rescue missions, and uneventful ones at that. This element of danger was a breath of fresh air to him. He turned just in time to see Leander making his way over a small ledge, with Raynor close behind. The rest of the team came shortly, and they took a moment to rest. "How much further to the reactor?" Leon asked as he sat the helmet back on his head. "Not far; about a mile and a half. I sent the guide back to the town, so we'll have to find our own way from here," replied Leander, carefully checking his equipment. Leon thought it over, then shrugged as he adjusted the broad sword attached to his back. "Well, lets get a move on then. I want to get this over with and head home." Raynor pulled a pair of binoculars from his satchel and began to survey the area. No sign of the rebels, but the reactor was dead north. "Ok, I got a visual of the reactor. We'll have to get past that ledge to reach it though. There's a valley a little bit to the east that we wouldn't have any trouble passing. That would be our best bet." Raynor handed the binoculars to Leander. Leander took a close look at the valley and the surrounding cliff area. "No. The valley is a perfect spot for an ambush." Leander lowered the binoculars, rolling the situation over in his head. "We'll stick to the cliff. If I'm right, that's where the rebels will be hiding."
After a fifteen minute climb, the team finally arrived at the ledge that Raynor had spoke of earlier. It was just as Leander had predicted. There had been five rebels hidden among the cliffs, watching the valley. The team had made short work of them, but Leander knew that it wasn't over yet. The team began to scale down the cliff edge, and finally reached the bottom. "Ok, it's a straight shot from here. Another five minutes, and we'll be at the reactor," stated Leon as the last team member reached the bottom. The team moved in unison, covering all points of view, watching for an ambush. Nearing the edge of the reactor, Leon motioned the team down. "What is it?" Leander asked. "Found em. At least twenty men; look like militia. All carrying semi-autos. Shouldn't be too much of a problem, but I think we should play it safe." Leander nodded, and motioned to Raynor. "Take your squad up the middle, and engage the rebels. Leon and I will cover you and take care of any stragglers." Raynor glanced at Leander, then turned his attention back to the rebels. "Got it. Okay guys, follow me. Watch your flanks."
The squad made their way up the middle valley and began to fire on the rebels. The rebels returned fire and quickly swarmed for cover. Raynor motioned his squad to split into two teams, each team taking up a flank and working their way around the enemy. Leon worked his way up the right path, engaging three rebels along the way. The battle raged for minutes, then came to a bloody halt as the last rebel fell. Leon ran to meet the team in front of the reactor, and was surprised when Leander did not join them. "Where's Leander?" questioned Grace, as she looked around the area. "I dunno...stay here, I'm gonna take a look." Leon sprinted to a hill on his left and quickly disappeared.
Leander whipped his sword around as the rebels rushed him. He had been right about the ambush; thirty rebels wielding short swords and stun sticks poured in on him from every direction. Leander's motions were as elegant as they were graceful, as he quickly demolished the raiders. Watching as the last of the rebels fell, Leander twirled his elegant blade around, preparing for more attacks. One lone rebel stood against Leander, a look of extreme terror rounding his bony face, along with an unsettling smirk. Leander stepped closer to the rebel, ready to strike. The rebel fell to his knees, glaring up at Leander's blade, then directly into his eyes. "You've been blinded by them...can't you see? They don't care about any of you! Your just a puppet!" Leander felt an extreme rage inside of him, one that he could not explain. He circled the blade, slicing through the air, ending the life of the lone rebel. He pulled the sword back, his emotions racing. What did he mean by that? Leander wondered to himself as he looked in awe at the blood soaked blade in front of him. He was unsettled by his sudden rage, and confused at the same time by the rebel's last words. A puppet? How could I be a puppet? His thoughts clouded his mind, and he didn't even notice when Leon walked to his side. "Whoa, looks like things got a little messy around here. You okay?" Leon inquired of the bewildered Leander. Hearing Leon's voice, Leander quickly came back to reality and surveyed the scene. "Yes....I'm fine." "Looks like you were right about the ambush." Leon knelt beside a dead rebel, examining the slice around his abdomen. "We took care of about forty of them back there. Anyways...I say we move inside the reactor as soon as possible, no telling if these guys have reinforments." Leander took a moment to wipe his blade before sheathing it. "Your right, let's move on." The two began to walk towards the team waiting over the ridge, but the words of the rebel stuck with Leander. A puppet? Of what?
Grace stood guard at the entrance of the reactor as Raynor, Leon, and Leander made their way inside. By this time, Leander had regained his focus and lead the team into the heart of the reactor. Along the way, they encourtered the corpses of several rebels, but no resistance. As they entered the reactor chamber, the three stopped to survey their surroundings, and Leander made his way to a row of small capsules circling the reactor. Upon first glance, they appeared to be normal energy cells, powering the reactor. However, as Leander began to inspect them, he made a startling discovery. Leander backed away from the capsule, a look of surprise and disgust in his eye. Seeing this reaction, Leon quickly turned to the capsule, examined it, then looked back to Leander. "What's up Leander? Why the weird face?" Leander stared blankly at a small view port in the side of the capsule, and motioned the other two forward. "Take a look in there," he replied calmly. Leon walked over to the capsule, Raynor following closely behind. As the two reached the port, Leon pulled himself up to look inside. "WHOA!" Leon shouted in shock as he fell backwards onto the floor. Raynor, surprised at the reactions of the two TITANs, quickly looked through the view point. What he saw filled him with both surprise and disgust, although he remained composed. "What the...is that human?" Leander walked to Raynor's side, and looked once more through the view port. "It appears to be...although heavily mutated." Leon picked himself up and adjusted his sword. "Who could have done this? The UES was never authorized for human experimentation. Could this be the reason that the rebels wanted inside the reactor?" Leon questioned as he thought the situation over. Deep in thought, Leander began to examine the rest of the capsules, and found the same results in each. "No...the rebels couldn't have done this. These uniforms...these men were soldiers..." Raynor felt the hair on his neck stand out, as he tightened his grip on his assault-rifle. No one could tell how long these experiments had been going on, but it certainly explained the recent dissappearences of UES personal on the outskirts.
As the team arrived back at the town, Grace and the others began to question what Leander and the others had seen inside the reactor. Leander said nothing, but went straight to the command post. Leon and Raynor kept their mouths shut, mostly from disbelief. The UES had been experimenting on human beings...not only was it unethical, but it was against everything they had been fighting for. Leon quickly pulled Raynor off to the side, and talked quickly. "Raynor, whatever that was in there, we can't let the others find out. You know that's gotta be top-secret stuff, and if it spills to the public, who knows what they'll do to us." Raynor nodded in agreement. He was uneasy about the entire situation, and a bit paranoid as well. Mostly, he was concerned about Leander, who had been acting very different since the discovery. "Right. If this gets out, we're in for it. Leon, you'd better keep an eye on Leander. He seems pretty shaken by this. I'll think of something to tell the team." Leon agreed, and the two made their way back to the command post.
November 26, 2053
The two days following the reactor incident had been uneventful. Leander had severed all contact from the others, staying inside the command center, reviewing UES records. Leon had tried to talk to him, but was quickly ushered away by a message from the UES headquarters in Matan, the capital city. The message ordered the team to explore an area south-west of Tellar, which had recently come under rebel attack. Leon thought the order over as he gathered the team together. "Ok guys, listen up. I'll be leading a small group of you to an area south-west of here. There's a rebel insurrection going on that needs to be put down. The team will consist of myself, Seargeant Locklear, and Private Easton. We'll head out within the hour, so get your gear ready. The rest of you will remain here and monitor the area. Watch for anything suspicious. Leander is...reviewing the mission logs, and will be out later." In truth, Leon had no idea what Leander was doing. He had barricaded himself inside right after they returned from the reactor, and Leon was beginning to worry. The team, on the other hand, had not noticed the change in Leander, and accepted Leon's explanation without question. After preparing, Leon and the others went on their way to end the rebel insurrection.
Leon stopped the truck about a mile away from the reported rebel hideout. Raynor began to unload the equipment as Leon surveyed the area. When Leon returned, Raynor was unloading the last satchel from the truck. "There's about fifty of them at the camp," reported Leon as Raynor began to check the equipment. "They don't seem to have more than semi-autos, but we can't be sure from here. We'll go in on foot." Leon motioned to Private Easton, and the three began their trek to the rebel encampment. Leon stopped the group about fifty yards from the camp, and the three spread out to get a better view. Raynor checked his sights as he lay prone on the ground, preparing his sniper rifle's bipod. The plan was simple: Leon would work his way down to the camp and engage the rebels on foot. For a normal man, it would be suicide, but for a TITAN, it would be a walk in the park. Raynor and Easton would provide support fire from the neighboring hills. Raynor waited for Leon to strike. With amazing speed and agility, Leon entered the camp and struck two rebels, the others shocked at his presence. The rebels quickly regained their composure, and began to swarm around Leon like flies. Raynor took careful aim and pulled the trigger, dropping two rebels with his first shot alone. Chambering a second round, he struck a rebel who had came up behind Leon. Easton followed Raynor's example, putting down several of the rebels on the outskirts of the camp. The situation seemed to be under control, until Raynor noticed a startling development. Easton, being a raw recruit, had failed to cover all points of view, allowing a small group of rebels to sneak around his postition and attack him from the behind. The young private didn't stand a chance in the battle that ensued, and Raynor silently cursed to himself as he swang his rifle around to Easton's postition. Easton was already dead by the time Raynor sited the rebels, but was soon avenged as Raynor quickly put the perpetrators down. Taking a moment to pray for his fallen comrade, Raynor turned his attention back to Leon, who had seemed to wrap things up on his own. Raynor shouldered his weapon and made his way down the hill and met Leon in the small valley below. "Easton's dead. They got around him and attacked him from behind," reported Raynor, as Leon clenched his fist in regret. "Poor kid...let's go ahead and prepare for the burial. And call in a strike team. There's another rebel camp to the west."
Leander hung his head as the words of the rebel and the images from the reactor poured through his mind like a river. It wasn't right for the UES to do this...they had preached about morality and ethics to him in basic training, but they couldn't uphold their own ideals, or so it seemed. Leander examined the photographs he had taken at the reactor, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead as the images of the disfigured men haunted his mind. What had happened to those men? Questions rolled through his mind, overtaking his thoughts. He pulled several files from the data library stored on his PDA, and began to examine them. Old data, he thought to himself. He had already seen those, but what of this town, this reactor? He accessed a sub-folder on his PDA, containing the history of the UES Scientific Research team. After sifting through the data, he noticed that parts had been erased, or were imcomplete. Why? He began to search for hidden files, and found a single document entitled 'TITAN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT'. Curious, he opened the folder, and was shocked at the data before him. On the screen, a list of names were displayed: The TITANs. Next to the names were dates, blood types, and reports of reactions to genetic engineering. Underneath this data, however, was a message from the UES Science Team.

Leander stared blankly at the screen, his heart beating wildly. The TITANs were biologically enhanced experiments? Those men in the reactor were 'failed specimens'? Leander himself had been the first...bio-experiment? No. The information had to be false. The TITANs were the staple of the UES military, not some bio-engineered freak show. Leander pressed his hands to his temples as his vision became clouded. "Could it be...?" he wondered out loud as the images of the men, his fellow TITANs, and his own past ran rampant in his mind. He collapsed to his knees, dropping the PDA beside him. Leander let out a cry as he tried to clear the thoughts from his mind. The UES had lied to him, they had lied to all of them. No, he thought to himself as he fought the information in his head. There has to be another answer! Leander crashed his head down on the desk, trying to clear his head of this new found knowledge. We're here to uphold morality, not deface it! The men...himself...the corruption of mankind...how could they do this? His thoughts tore at him, and he let out another cry...a cry of pain.
Leander stuggled to his feet, wiping his brow as his mind began to settle. He rested his arms on the desk, breathing heavily as he began to clear his mind. It was all becoming clear to him now; he had been so blind before! The UES didn't care about him or about the people. They cared about their own profit, and weren't concerned with the common man. He had to stop them. The rebel was right, he had been a puppet. But who would replace them? He struggled with the question for a moment. No one. No one can take their place. Humanity has become too corrupt to rule the planet. Corruption... Leander raised his head, a twinkle illuminating his eyes as he began to laugh to himself. Humanity had outstayed their welcome here...they were too corrupt with their own interests...but what about me? Am I not human? Leander looked upward as his face lit up with an eerie glow. "No. I am more than man, more than a mortal could ever hope to be. I will become more...I will not be one of them."
Grace dug her feet into the ground as the shockwave blew past, trying her best to remain on her feet. She watched the building crumble to the ground, wooden splinters impaling the surrounding area. The team fired into the valley from where the blast came, not knowing what exactly to shoot at. From within the smoke, another sphere bolted out, crashing into a second building, sending shards of wood and glass through the atmosphere. Grace didn't know what to do, she couldn't see her enemy, and she couldn't combat it. She quickly reached for the transceiver located above her right ear, and contacted the UES HQ. "HQ! This is Corporal Grace Sullivan of the UES TITAN Escort Team! We are currently under attack by an unknown force, and request backup ASAP! HQ, please respond!" She cursed as a third bolt rocketed towards her. She rolled to the side as it rifled past. The blast landed about 10 feet away from her, launching her into the air as a third structure came crashing down in a chorus of fire and debris. She landed in a nearby alley, rolling for about fifteen feet before coming to a stop. She looked up, watching the sky, as her vision began to blur, and quickly slipped into a state of unconsciousness.
The call had came in right after they had finished with Easton's burial. Leon reached for his transceiver as he heard the sounds of men and women screaming and of explosions so violent that they sent a chill down his spine. Leon shot a look at Raynor, and the two bolted towards a motor pool set up by the rebels. Inside were two trucks, a jeep, and three motorcycles. Both Leon and Raynor mounted a motorcycle, and the two began hotwiring as fast as human hands could. The engine roared to life as the two crashed through the door and sped towards Tellar.
When Leon and Raynor arrived in Tellar, they were shocked to see fire engulfing the small town. They motored forward through smoke and debris, eventually finding a clearing. Grinding to a halt, Leon was the first to spot Leander, standing amidst the destruction. Leon called out to him. "Leander! What happened, what's going...on?? LEANDER!!" Leon's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as he saw Leander impale a fellow soldier, then smirk as he removed the blade. "Leander! What are you doing!!??" Leander looked at the two, a blazing hatred filling his eyes. He swang his arm through the air, releasing another sphere of pure energy directly at Raynor. Ranyor leapt from his motorcycle just in time to see it erupt in a blaze of flame and debris. As Raynor landed, he quickly rolled to his feet and remained in a squatting position, checking for wounds. Leon bolted forward, removing his sword from it's sheath, and locking blades with Leander in the center of the town. The two fought like lightning, sparks flying as the two pieces of metal clashed together. Raynor couldn't move; he stared in awe at the spectacle, watching two of his best friends fight as if they had been enemies for years. He soon regained his composure, however, as Leander knocked Leon's blade backward and sliced him across his abdomen. The force of the impact sent Leon sailing backwards, his sword cutting through the air and lodging into the ground right next to Raynor. "LEON!" Raynor watched helplessly as his friend fell. A great rage burned within Raynor. His throat became dry, his muscles ached, and his eyes burned. Leander smirked as he turned towards Raynor, another sphere of blue energy forming around his hand. Aiming directly at Raynor, Leander cocked his head and began to laugh. The sphere launched from his hand, burning brightly as it neared Raynor. Without thinking, Raynor lunged for the sword, pulling it from the ground. As the blast neared, Raynor bolted forward and slid, watching as the brilliant light sailed directly over him, crashing into a car behind him. Raynor flipped to his feet as the force of the explosion sent him flying through the air. He readied the sword, and used the force of impact to his advantage, striking Leander's sword with a mighty force. He whipped the sword back, and lashed out at Leander's exposed torso. Leander met Raynor's blade with his own, and the two exchanged glances as Raynor doubled back. Raynor shook his head as he viewed the devestation around him. Fire blazed violently over the buildings and his friends littered the ground he stood on. "Why, Leander?! Have you gone insane?!" Raynor cried as he leapt forward, forcing the sword down on Leander's blade. "They trusted you! You vowed to protect them! Why have you betrayed them?!" Leander raised his hand, releasing a burst of energy which sent Raynor flying backwards. "Betrayed? You misunderstand me, Raynor. These people are living a meaningless existence. I'm merely releasing them from their torment. What about you, Raynor? Can you stand by and watch them suffer, knowing that you're a pawn of their tormentors?" Leander smirked as the building closest to him erupted in flame. "The time has come for cleansing! This world is corrupted beyond repair! Your people take everything from the planet, but return nothing! I alone know the truth...and I will be the one to end this corruption, once and for all." Leander raised his arm, and directed it towards Raynor's chest. A bright blue light illuminated his fingers, as an energy sphere formed. "Alone...I WILL PURGE THE CORRUPTION!" The sphere bolted from Leander's arm, arching toward Raynor. Blinded by his anger, Raynor rolled upright and slung his sword over his shoulder, preparing for the blast. Merely seconds before impact, Raynor used all of his energy to leap from the ground, defying gravity as the energy impacted below him. Focusing all of his strength, Raynor held the sword steady, preparing to crash down upon Leander's smirking figure. With sword in hand, clothing battered and torn, Raynor swang with all of his might downwards. He complimented the great element of gravity with a mighty force, about to land a destructive blow. Leander raised his sword to counter, but was forced down by the weight of impact. Raynor rolled to his feet, quickly whipping the sword through the air, and lashed out once more at Leander's torso.
Grace raised her head slowly, heat pouring on her in a seemingly flawless rythym. Looking around, she was horrified by her surroundings; the town was quickly burning to the ground, and her friends were nowhere in sight. She stood to her feet, stumbling as she fought to regain her composure. Quickly reaching for her handgun, she realized that the rebel group that they'd fought was not capable of a strike against Tellar of that magnitude. Fearing the worst, she leveled the handgun in front of her, supporting it with her second hand. The fire poured overhead like a stream of water, flaring occasionally. She tensed as a shadow swept passed her, and held the gun even tighter. Whatever had destroyed the town would have no trouble killing her. After making her way down a short alley, she finally got a full glimpse of the scene around her, as a woman's shriek was heard over the fiery cracking of a home as it burnt to the ground. Grace felt her stomach sink as the cries of the townspeople surrounded her. There was nothing she could do for them anymore... She followed another alley to what seemed to be the town center, and quickly ducked behind a burning car as a figure appeared on the other side. Peeking her head over, she silently hoped that it would be a team mate, or at least someone who could be of assistance. She quickly recognized the young TITAN, and called out to him. "Leon! Over here!"
Leon glared at the young woman calling his name, but was in too much pain to answer. Holding his stomach, he limped toward the car she stood next to, hoping that the others would be close behind. After what seemed an eternity, he reached the smoldering car and quickly collapsed next to it. Grace rushed to him, examing the gaping wound in his side, and opening her medical kit. "Leon! What happened to you? Who did this?" she inquired as she cleaned the wound and began to stitch it shut. Leon rolled his head upward, glaring at the sky. His thoughts focused on his young friend, who he hoped would go for help instead of fighting Leander. Just as Leon was slipping out of the conscious realm, he muttered, "Leander...has...no...Raynor. God help him..."
The flames blazed brightly as the two figures clashed, their swords cutting through the air at blinding speeds. It was a battle that should not be taking place, a mere mortal against a mighty titan, their weapons clashing in a shroud of fire. Raynor fought with all of his might, knocking Leander backwards onto a bridge over a raging river. Leander rolled to his feet on the other side, and set his weapon, preparing for attack. Raynor jumped over the river, seeming to fly, and came down to lock blades with Leander. Leander smirked as he began to force Raynor backwards, nearing the edge of the river. "The battle ends here, Raynor," smirked Leander as Raynor began to loose his footing. Slipping, Raynor shifted all of his weight forward, forcing Leander backwards. As Leander fought to regain his foothold, Raynor circled the blade through the air and swang mightily at Leander, ripping through his torso with a great force. Raynor rolled forward, coming up behind Leander, and pushed him with all of his might into the river below. As Leander fell, he locked eyes with Raynor, a look of disbelief and hatred covering his bloodied face as he plumeted into the raging waters below. Raynor watched as the once heroic Leander was swept down the river, and a feeling of pain and disappointment took hold of him. The mighty TITAN had fallen...but this was only the beginning of his journey.

well, its not going to be like advocating the use of drugs, but it will be in there because one of the characters kinda has a crappy life in the story and what not, but i certainately won't force anyone's hand into reading it, i'm mainly doing this because i want to

Just so you guys know, I've quit working on this story. However, in another few months or so I have another one that I co-wrote that will be done (we currently have almost 400 pages), so I'll try to compile it and post it around here somewhere.

the book looks good. I'm writing one myself i have it posted here on the forum some of it anyways or actually should i say, what was some of it. i deleted the whole thing on my computer and started over on mine cause i lost part of what i had written down on paper in Washington D.C.

i'm still working on mine, but i've had to postpone production due to external stuff. i.e. school, and other stuff.
i prefer to type on my laptop so i can sit in the recliner and type, but since the circuit city scandel, i haven't had time to get everything back up and running on it, and i may have to go back to that damn store again, but anyhoo. i don't really care for typing on the desktop as far as storys go, but i may start doing that because i don't know when i'll have time to sit down for like four to eight hours and work on the laptop.
another reason that i'm putting it on hold for now is that i've got an assignment in biology, and one of the options is to right a biology based short story so that's the option i'm going for, and right now i'm working on that. it's only going to be like 10-20 pages so yeah. i'll post it on the forum when i'm done so everyone can see it. i will say this, it won't have a happy ending. i've got till the end of march to work on it, but i'm going to do research on the biology material i'm going to use, and map out the story and characters. i'll have the first week of march off for spring break, and i'll write it during that week

See, this is why I only write short comics/skits/plays/whatever you want to call them. They're not tiring to write, there's a better chance of finishing them, and they don't bore the reader (not that any of your books bore the reader, but that's just a factoid).
Granted of course, I haven't written anything big as of March of last year. I occasionally pick up old projects, but never seem to have the inspiration to finish them like I did four years ago.
well i have every intention of finishing my story, and working on several more. i've already got like several ideas for several more stories, but i'm going to finish this one before i start those. the largest reason that i've been at a stand still on this is because of school, and i won't lie, but when i get some off time, i have to be in the "mood" to type if i'm not in the mood then i'm just wasting my time trying to write
well i'm going to post some more then get ready for bed in a few

I stopped this one because of two reasons. A) It was a test with a new writing style (descriptive writing with action elements. I'd never done anything like it up to that point). B) It was REALLY cliche. I mean, stuff of that nature has been done a billion times before. Like I said, I'm working on other stuff and am co-writing another novel, so I'll accomplish at least one thing in my life :)
It was cliche. It was a good idea, but from the moment I started reading the first chapter, I was thinking "Man, this looks a lot like Final Fantasy 7." What with the bumpy truck ride and the sword fights.
well.... I have a book I been working on it for a little while.. its called Paint on a sidewalk..... its a love story...typical me hehe

uh Mitch and Kaney.. may I ask who the heck Tyler is? And all this book stuff.. Garnet I really think you could go far with a love story. I mean look all the latest movies and books are love and horror.
