This year at my school i was one of the very privilaged few to join YML.......and for those of u who dont no what YML is, it is a group of students hand picked by the teacher to go to meatings to learn about how a bill becomes a law, and after you learn that then you get to make your own bills and present them befor the whole YML committy, and they evaluate your bills and if they pass then they get sent to the representatives of the state you live in and they represent it in congress for you. Well, anyway i need your oppinion on which bill i should present to the YML committy. I have 3 ideas so far i need you to evaluate them and tell me what you think.
1. Preserve the little farmland that the USA has left insted of building UNNESICARY buildings, malls, subdivisions, etc...
2. To ban ponography from the internet, the TV, adds, etc...
3. People that need help especially the mentally and phicially handycaped get the help they need and the cost be covered by the state if the family cant afford it.

Well, might I say, you certainly came to the right place for opinions....As you probably could tell from KannibalKaney, we're chock full of 'em.
1.) Farmlands are important. The US should preserve some farmland, but keep in mind that malls and subdivisions are most certainly not unneccessary.
2.) Ooh....this is a tricky situation. If they do decide to ban porn from the internet, it'll be hard....TV and ads, not so much, but like Marijuana, you can't keep banned things from circulating.
I'd say #1 would be the best to choose... you'll have the backing of the ecology people... Attempting to go through with number 2 is not smart at all... It's beyond the goverment's ability to stop, and even if they could they wouldn't... and 3.... Well... not to bad of an idea, but I wouldn't propose anything like this untill we see what the deal with social security is going to be.
I wasn't calling all malls and subdivisions unneciscary. Alot of them are though, i mean y build a mall or subdivision if there is already one in that area?

And like I and Hei Yu agree with, it's impossible for #2 to work. I mean, people find ways around the law, so I'm afraid internet porn isn't going anywhere.
Hei Yu and I have the same US History class. There, Mr. Talley told us about the ban on alcohol and how it became more of a problem AFTER it was banned. It was a lot like marijuana is today...
Well, preserving farmland and stuff is good but for pornography, not that I support it, will never be banned. It is impossible to ban it. It is such a large industry that no one will be able to completely anihilate all pornographic material from todays society. As for those of you saying that malls are not unnecessary, there is absolutely no reason for malls other than they are ergonomic. They are just for lazy people who do not want to drive.
The first option sounds good. There are alot of people who back you up on that, being environmentalists. As for the porn...let me give you an example. Go to Google, and type anything in the image search. Or on second thought, dont, because you know what you'll find? Porn. The sad truth is, no matter what laws or bills are passed to prohibit pornography in the media or online, its still gonna thrive. Although sickening, thats the sad truth about or society's grasp on porn. The third topic sounds good as well, although that would probably require a state tax increase to support it.
