Well, welcome to Xcalibur Comics! It's really good to see that we're getting people from somewhere other than the USA. I'm Murasume the administrator here. There are two other moderators who are also the co-founders of Xcalibur Comics: Mitch and Snake. Feel free to hang out, and just enjoy yourself. But be sure to check out our rules section for the few rules that we do have to avoid any discrepancies. HAVE FUN!

Hi, I'm Riku well I used to be kannibalkaney, but well I have some problems so I decided to get rid of him, and well I'm a lot better of a person than he is.

So how's the land down under?  At last we have someone from there.  Do you have that cool accent that Austrailians have?

Anyhoo, welcome aboard.

Riku

You know your the first member we have on here that isn't from around here locally, and that's nice.  Finally we've expanded some beyond Maryville and Alcoa .

Too bad we can't get one of those NASA guys up on the I.S.S. to join the we would be in orbit .

Yeah that would be so cool.  If I ever get the chance to go into space, I'll so log in from up ther in orbit .

Oh and if you ever have any questions about Windows period, Snake is the Windows God so he can pretty much save your butt.   I need to learn Linux so that I'll be the Linux God ha ha .

But if you ever have questions about the LCARS interface from Star Trek, or ODN networks from there, I can give you all the information you would need to stop a warp core breach on, or how to re-route power to you inertial dampners so you don't turned into a puddle of goo when your starship exits out of warp speed .

Okay ... Very big welcome *lol*

Hey Jena, good to see you.

I'm kinda accustomed to the 'Net ... I'm a big fan

I have been told that I have an Aussie accent ... I used to argue! Until my Mum told me that I do have an accent ... then I kinda came to terms with that fact

At the moment, we have restrictions on how much water we can use, because we're in the middle of a semi-drought ... our dam levels are getting lower.

If you want, I can get some of my friends to join as well, so that you've got more people from the land of Oz

I'm pretty much a general knowledge kind of guy. I know quite a bit about a lot of different things. And If I don't know I can quickly find out. I know a little bit of Linux since I have a copy. I have been debating wheather or not to install it on one of my machines. But anyways, if anyone has any questions about anything, just ask.

That'd be awesome, bring em on. Yeah we have accents too. I dunno if you've ever heard a country accent, or even if that means the same to you as it does here. But we definately have accents. I do for certain. Though I don't notice it until i hear myself talk, and on some words it comes out really bad. Anyway, I'm rambling so Ima shut up now.

"Welcome to the internet" is what I say to people. Didn't mean to profile you as a noob.

So, a drought, eh? I've often wondered about politics in other countries. Perhaps later, if you feel like it, you could let us know what's going on politically down there in the southern hemisphere.

And yeah, we'd love all the activity we can get. Don't be shy about letting your friends know about us. We'd appreciate it.

Yeah I've heard about how Austrailia can have some pretty severe droughts, hopefully it won't get too bad.  Hey be proud of your accent is what I say the Aussie accent is one that I've want to learn for a while so I can amuse myself.  I get kicks from that, but the only accent that I've mastered is the Southern U.S. accent which is grating at best .

Yay we're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz.  I so need to watch that movie drunk again...that was really messed up that time in seventh grade English.  I kinda used to have a vodka problem so I would sneak it in with cokes or coffee back in the day .

Well Mura, I'm going to put Linux as a second OS on both my systems in the future, maybe we could collaborate in the future

Also, something to keep in mind, is we often post YTMNDs to help express our thought and help get points across in posts.

For example, while we were speaking of the Wizard of Oz, ever wonder what's at the end of the yellow brick road?

Yeah, the Aussie accent is awesome. I would honestly move to Australia just to hear people talk. I swear, it kind of entrances me. It's kinda weird. But yeah, Riku I used to have windows and linux on my old comp which is now my family comp, but I really didn't see a point in having both. So I just have a copy of Suse Linux sitting in my room. I may run dual OS in the future, but I don't know.

Well I would like to learn all major platforms, Windows, Linux, and yes even our gay little friend Macintosh OS X just so that I can work in any environment that I would be present in.

Yeah I wouldn't mind going to Austrailia myself one day and see some of the sites it has to offer .

My aunt used to live there for a while when her ex was still in the U.S. military and was stationed down there, and she said it was gorgeous.  So needless to say it has pogued (I don't know if that is spelled correctly) my interests .

Yeah something like that, but you know me I always like to change common phrases and alter them somewhat so that I can patent a more unique version of it .

So ... where are you all from? Obviously I'm from Oz.

I have a few friends that live in the US, but they're all people that I met either through my Mum, or through work

I could speak for everyone when I say that we're all from Tennessee. I'm one of the only ones without a southern accent. I'm from Alcoa. I'll let everyone say what city they're from for themselves.

Well I'm from Maryville Tennessee which is a small town located near Alcoa where the rest of the crew is from.  I live about 20 or 30 miles away from Knoxville the closest city near here.  For the most part it's just a simple little town in the Southern U.S.

Now if I could tell you where I wish I was from it would be Midgar from FF7 because that's my favorite make-believe city

What's it like in Oz?

Yes you would be correct, here in the U.S. it's mid-late spring.  Our summers begin officially on June 21 or 22 here, and our Winters are around Christmas.  It's kinda odd thinking that while up here we're in warm weather, but down in Austrailia it's going into Winter.  Do you all have your breaks scheduled for your summers around Decemberish, or do you have breaks during this time of the year?

Our breaks are all over the place ... we have Easter break, mid-July break, September break, and End of year break ... I don't understand why we can't just have the one break at end-of-year though
