Of course, we could all argue what games are best in our own opinions, but surely, someone would argue back how lame that game is in their own opinion. I have no doubts about that.
But we've never got together and agreed on games that no gamer should be without. We'll make a list at some point listing the ones we've agreed on.
So, it's now open for discussion. Name what games you think all modern gamers need on:
Xbox
Nintendo Gamecube
Playstation or PS2
PC
Remember to keep it civil, now. No debate. Just game names, and reasons why you chose those games if you like. Try to keep it diverse. And if you can, include different types of games, like RPGs, FPSs, Adventure, etc.
There is a fight between two wolves going on inside everyone. One stands for all good things and the other, all that is evil. Which one will win? The one that you feed.
now even though i don't own a 360, my friend aaron does, and he showed us oblivion on it, and i think until later that game would be a game that you should have if you go for a 360

I'm just waiting to hear what evryone else says first.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to have a "Games that aren't for everyone, but still fun" thing, or a "Games you should have at least played once" thing as well.
Playstation: Metal Gear Solid, Mega Man Legends, Final Fantasy 7, Medal of Honor
Nintendo 64: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Goldeneye 007, Star Fox 64, Super Mario 64, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Super Smash Brothers
Gamecube: Resident Evil 4, REmake, Star Wars: Rogue Leader, Metroid: Prime, Super Smash Brothers Melee
Playstation 2: Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Final Fantasy X (not X-2, that is EVIL)
Xbox: Halo (maybe, I didn't find it as 'revolutionary' as some people), Fable
PC: Half-Life 2, Half-Life, FEAR, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, Star Wars: Jedi Outcast/Academy, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, DRIVER (the original), DOOM 1-2, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Battlefield 1942/2, Age of Empires 1-2 (and expansions), StarCraft (and expansion), Fable: The Lost Chapters
That's a list of my personal favorites (right off the top of my head). I didn't include Halo 2 or any of the GTA games simply because, well, I don't like them. But yeah.

N64: Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Starfox 64, Super Smash Bros., Goldeneye 007, Legend of Zelda: Ocrania of Time/Majora's Mask.
Gamecube: Super Smash Bros.: Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Resident Evil 4, Mario Kart: Double Dash
Playstation: Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Mega Man Legends
PS2: Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, MGS3: Snake Eater, Final Fantasy X (Not X-2, unless you're a cock-gobbling whore. If so, this game is a must-have.), Kingdom Hearts (Possible KH2, we've yet to play that.)
Xbox: Fable: The Lost Chapters, Halo series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Games you should have played at least once: Earthbound (SNES), Chrono Trigger (SNES), Chrono Cross (PS), Megaman series, Super Mario Bros. series, at least one Harvest Moon game, Super Metroid (SNES), Metroid: Prime (GC), Resident Evil series, Silent Hill series, Dragon Warrior/Quest series.
This is not a list of my personal favorites. I have a lot of other games that I would have loved to put on this list, like Conker's Bad Fur Day, or some other games that you guys know that I like to play, but you must realize that some of these games are not for everyone. I tried to only add games to the list that everyone could enjoy, and the ones that people should at least try are in the "Games you should have played at least once" section. So, first, let's see which games made everyone's list.
