ok if we do a modern day or scifi rp this is my character:
Dr. Alexi Leanov
Age: was 31 at the time the U.S.S. Cygnus disappeared
Side: Bad Guy, but mainly misguided
Profession: Scientist and Commander of U.S. Space Probe One otherwise known as the U.S.S. Cygnus.
Background info: Graduated from from M.I.T. with a doctorate in theoretical engineering, and was selected by the U.S. military to command the new U.S.S. Cygnus when it was launched in 2072 with a crew of approximately 2000 to fill the mile long ship. About two years later the ship was ordered to return to Earth because the ship had failed to find extra terrestrial life, and due to a change in administration. Shortly after that transmission the Cygnus dissappeared with all hands and no one has heard from them in twenty years.

the Cygnus's current state is unknown to the public, however, the only clue to its wherabouts is that there is a large anti-gravity field located approximately .3 light years from the ship's last known location, many scientists and some world leaders have been wanting to send a research ship out to examinie this phenominon because it suddenly appeared three years after the cygnus disappeared. it has been rumored that the united states, russia, and japan are currently building another deep space starship to go out to this location and examine the anti-gravity field which is precariously close to a known black hole in the galaxy. the new ship is going to be called the isa (internation space administration) Wind Runner, the ship unlike its closest predecessor u.s.s cygnus will feature two horizontal rings (think ship from red planet kids) which will rotate to create gravity and the latest in ion and ftl technology. unlike the gothic appearence of the u.s. owned and shin-ra built cygnus it will be much more streamlined and will be covered in a gleaming hull of a new titanium alloy called duranium. the cygnus on the other hand was built with its structural skeleton on the outside, while very durable and having a large control tower jutting up from the stern of the ship makes for something straight out of a jules vern novel, the ship makes up for the lack in appearence with impressive fire power, 12 lasar cannons located in various locations and several nuclear warheads onboard gives the cygnus impressive offensive and defensive capabilties. it would be quite a dangerous tool in the hand of a madman...

well for you mitch do something like a jedi or sith or something, or just make a character based off of some games that are scifi like or movies or something. and johar can modify her character to be more modern day a little bit so it'll be easy. i mean many scifi storys are like just modern day tales with a little bit of future thrown into the pot. now if johar wanted to be medieval then we could have something like the cygnus is trapped in a timewarp like chrono trigger or something like that, or she is thrown into the future due to some cosmic event. so theres a billion + ways to go about this
people have thought for many years that black holes could actually be used in time travel just read the book sphere by micheal crichton.

okay i know that i'm double posting, but hey um my last post was fairly large and i plan on this one being large so i don't really know how much room my previous post can hold.
alrighty, i thought since theres not very many members on this forum, that we can also have multiple characters so i'm going to make a couple more characters to have interactions between.
now another point for those who don't know. when you rp on a forum you can have each of your characters telling the story from there perspective so if i haven't met lets say johar's character yet then i would tell something from my point of view onboard the cygnus or something, and then johar would do something from her perspective like eat her horse for dinner after it broke its leg. them mitch the great jedi or whatever does some fighting against the sith empire and eventually our paths cross. you get the point.
okay now heres my other characters
Lieutenant Colonel Alexandria Munro

she is the commander of the isa windrunner which was assigned to investigate a region of space which has had unusual gravational readings for the last decade and a half. while in that region she is also ordered to investigate the mystery of the u.s.s. cygnus which had disappeared twenty years prior to now. her orders are if the ship is intact and abandoned, she is ordered to restart her power core is the ship's power is down and tow her back to earth, if the ship is destroyed then to report on what she can about the ship, but if the ship isn't abandoned...
lt. col. munro is the youngest person to make ship commander and graduated at the top of her class at the airforce academy. she is a very down to earth person who when not piloting a space craft enjoys gardening, painting, and other various activities.
Cloud Strife
age 17 years
side neutral
Cloud Strife is the Cygnus's A.I. unit onboard. after the ship disappeared. dr. leanov created an artificial intelligence unit for the starship. he based his design off of another computer system from an unknown ship which was abandoned in an asteroid field nearby the cygnus's last know coordinates
for those of you who have played halo, cloud would be similar to cortana except masculine.

okay hk-89 is the cygnus's current first officer, he was built by dr. leanov one year after the ships disappearence to aid in ships operations. he is also in charge of the robo-sentries which patrol the ship. for those of you who know about hk-47 from kotor then hk-89 would be pretty much the same type of droid.

She is one of the passengers onboard the ISA Windrunner, and is your typical 23 year old woman. She is very caring, works in the hydroponics lab onboard the ship. Is a good friend of the Captain and is on good terms with everyone onboard the ship.

well assuming that she is one of the good guys then she could have been hired by the ISA to watch over the crew of the isa windrunner to make sure that no one onboard will cause problems or something like that.
