Urgh....it's happened again! Square-Enix shut down another fine Chrono Trigger remake site. They had better be making a remake or another sequel to Chrono Trigger, cause they've made a lot of people (including me) mad. We'd better be hearing some news of a CT project (hopefully a remake) from those Squenix geeks or I say we boycott Square-Enix.
well, i hate to hear that myself, i think that squareenix needs to get their stinking little heads out of their a**** because people have been demanding a remake of chrono trigger for years, but they haven't put out have they, so i think they should let their fans make one if they aren't. stuff like this just makes me want to take a crowbar to the ceo's head.

Well, theyve already proved they arent too smart by making a Final Fantasy 7 Tech Demo for PS3, then immediately stating that they arent doing a remake. That angered many, many fans (me included). So yeah...I wouldnt get my hopes up on a CT remake.

Hey, the Chrono Trigger Remake Project (No affliliation with Square-Enix) got my hopes up. And since they got the C&D from SE, you'd THINK they were planning something. But yeah, they have proved that they're not smart time and time again.
i think that i have lost all faith in square-enix. apart the companies made great stuff, but merged as they are now, they couldn't make a decent game if it came up and bit them in the butt. i personally think that the merger between squaresoft and enix will cause the company to go out of business in a few years unless they start making better products.

I'm just saying that if they're gonna crush a lot of people's spirits like that, the least they could do is take notice of what they were trying to do and work with it. Squenix needs to listen to what people want. Nintendo does it. People told Nintendo, "Hey, we want a realistic Zelda with Adult Link."
Nintendo: "Done."
People: "Hey, Square-Enix. We want a Chrono Trigger remake."
Square-Enix: "Hmmmm.....Nah......But I'll tell you what we will do though. We'll go and shut down all your little fan sites and keep you from trying anything. How about this, though? We'll give you all ANOTHER sequel to Final Fantasy 10!"
People: "I'm buying a Nintendo Revolution as opposed to a PS3....."
i think that i will get all three of the next generation systems, but i probably won't buy much of the stuff that square-enix brings out because where square-enix is making crap, companies such as namco, bungie, and lucas arts are making games that can fill the hole that squaresoft and enix once filled.
mitch has a good point on how nintendo and other companies actually listen to what their customers want instead of making crap.

Yeah, I have to hand it to Nintendo lately. They HAVE been listening. Like with Zelda, but also with the Revolution. People wanted to be able to play an SNES/N64 game on a new console. So Nintendo makes it where you can download many of their games. Now THATS awesome. Im just hoping that the Revolution will be able to hold its own graphically in the next-gen console wars, because PS3 and Xbox 360 both look VERY impressive on the tech side.

Nintendo is known mostly for selling games based on their own mascot characters and titles, such as Zelda and Mario. Cause when you think of it, Microsoft and Sony don't have mascots....except Xbox might have Master Chief....
A game I'm looking forward to on the Revolution is Super Smash Bros. Revolution. That was one of the launch titles that Nintendo revealed for it, I think. That's what I heard anyway.
well even though i will buy all of the systems eventually, i usually buy a system based on what games are on it. myself i am into rpg's so which system has the better on that line will be my first purchase unless the systems are released so far apart that i will have time to save up between console releases.
i kinda hope that nintendo will be able to hold its own against the ps3 and xbox360 because with the exception of some good games on the gamecube, i would call the system as far as device it self could be described as the gaycube

As far as power, the Gamecube is the second most powerful in the current generation. However, with the exceptions of RE4 and a few others, there really isnt that much content for it. Its a waste, in my opinion, that Nintendo got shafted by the third party developers, as the Gamecube really IS a good system. My guess is that not many developers want to work with the Gamecubes media format, being that its the hardest to program on (if I remember correctly). In terms of power, though, Xbox>Gamecube>PS2

i won't deny the graphics power of the gamecube, but the fact that they have to use those really small disks, when the xbox and ps2 use regular dvd-roms, and stuff like that is what i don't like about them. and i don't really care for the tiny controller that the system has. if you all can point out a larger gamecube controller to me with a longer cord i would really be grateful. i don't really care for wireless because the batteries would go out for me during the middle of a boss fight

Actually, the wireless controllers are pretty good. Ive got one, and if I remember correctly, it auto-pauses when it goes dead. Im not sure where you could get a bigger controller, unless you tried one of those off brand controllers that stop responding a week after you get them.
I just wish the Cube had some more good games. NOTHING has come out for it recently worth buying, and the only good game on the horizon is the new Zelda.

yeah i wish thatthe gamecube would come out with some more good games. since i already have the other systems, anything that comes out on the other platforms that is realeased on the gamecube i buy on the xbox or ps2 because their controllers are more comfortable. well, if the controller were to auto pause if the battery dies that would be a good thing, so i might be willing to step out of the wired world
the only good games that i have on gamecube in my opinion are skies of arcadia and tales of symphonia. are there any good rpgs other than that on gamecube because i'm really not a huge fan of zelda because i like turn based battle systems rather than the action/adventure system that the zelda games have.
i hope that there are some more good games on the horizon because my gamecube spends alot of time collecting dust since i only play those two games.

hey mitch i might have to check into those games on a later date. have any of you heard anything about a game called virtua quest for gamecube of ps2? been looking at it lately. haven't seen it for rent and it is 40 bucks at hastings, and i don't want to spend that much to be disappointed. by they while it is on my mind i have figured out how to host images, but where you have you digital signature how do you get an image in that area, i only see the text box to input a written signature on the edit my profile screen.

You have to use HTML code. You type [ IMG](take out the space), followed by the web URL, followed by [ /IMG](take out the space). That gives you a pic instead.

Ok, so from what this topic has spurred, I take it that none of us are happy with Square-Enix. So, I propose we....
Boycott Square-Enix. Refusal to buy their games may only affect them on a small scale, but we can see about writing them a letter saying that they need to get their act together........if Kingdom Hearts 2 sucks, that'll be the last straw. We should at least give them a chance to redeem themselves. Who knows...maybe they'll do something with Chono Trigger. If they don't get it together soon, we need to make our opinions heard.
well i'll get advent of the children by the way anyone know when it will ever be released? but after that if they don't start making some halfway decent games then i will probably give up and quit buying titlels from them
