Hey, guys, not sure where to put this so I thought I'd put it here... Is the amount of attacks it takes to break a weapon in your game about the same as other MMOs with this type of platform? Or whatever it's called...
Just asking because I'm fighting with some Gnomes right now and after every five I kill I have to go and repair my knife... Now I got some money save up from fighting theives earlier and from selling some of my stuff and whatnot...
Anywho... it costs anywhere from 25-30 to get my knife repaired... And the only enemies I've found so far that drop money are the theifs... and they only drop ten gold, and they don't always drop it...But thats not why I'm not fighting them, I'm not fighting them because the Gnomes give about 3X more experience... And again, the Gnomes don't drop money... So it seems that to keep from getting closer and closer to getting broke I'd have to fight Gnome's until my weapon is almost broke, then unequip it and fight theives barehanded untill I got enough to repair my knife without having to dip into the money I got saved up... This would require atleast 3 kills at minimum... Probably more than that usually, seeing as how they don't always drop the gold...
I guess I could just forget about the gnomes and fight nothing but theives with my weapon equiped... They'd only be worth 1/3rd the gnomes exp, but they die faster than gnomes, and my weapon probably would hold out longer than what it does when I'm fighting Gnomes...
So.. er... Don't know exactly what I'm trying to accomplish here, but I thought I'dd tell yall my scenario and see what you think and maybe get some info... Such as... Are theifs the only enemies to have actual money on them(I haven't killed any of the "Wild Beasts" or "Yetis" yet)? And in the stores where you buy things... Are the Ore Quanities required final, or are yall gonna change them? Because if they are for the same item as the item you buy with money... Well, it would take much longer to get something through means of ore than through means of gold...
Not griping, *****in, or complaining my heind parts off or anything, or atleast I'm not trying to(although it may sound that way), I was just wanting to know if yall plan on doing anything different with these few things or not.
Thanks for informing us, right now we are still tweaking everything so no, prices and things of that nature arent set in stone. As far as the money dropping goes, Im not positive whether anything else drops it. I believe the Yeti drops ore, not gold. We will work with all of the NPCs so that itll balance out.

Yeah, about the ore prices.... I set those just as an experiment to see how fast people got them. People would naturally have more gold than ore, so I set the price of a knife to 150 (or whatever it is) or 10 ore for the same knife. So in essence, as Snake put it, we're still tweaking the prices and stuff.
As for the Yeti, you'll notice there's only one. He drops 10 Ore, but he's hard to beat for beginners.
The knife isn't supposed to be durable, but I'll change it so it won't break as easily. When you get your Strength to 15, you can use a Short Sword, but that's subject to change as well. I might lower that since I needed field data from other players to get all these technicalities right.
But yeah, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Don't hesitate to ask about anything else.
I also noticed another thing... althout this doesnt make the game harder, it makes it easier, but I'd figure yall might want to know because yall might have made a mistake or whatever... Or yall might just wanted to make a different way of getting something good easy... anyways, heres the deal... Three weapons I've noticed off hand is the knife, the short sword, and the long sword... Now, th knife costs 150... I know that because I've bought a few... and the short sword costs like 600 or something I believe... now, a ew screens away from the main town is a "trading shop" where you can sell items for money (Like selling a knife for 50 gold)... However there also the option to "sell" 500 gold in exchange for a long sword... which, if my logic is right, should be better than the short sword...
I personally went in and looked at this. Here's the deal, Tsercaes....uh....can I just call you Fhqwhgads? Look, Fhqwhgads........ When I made the Long Sword, I felt it was just too good a weapon to keep from the rest of the game, but I didn't have a place to put it. The Timberwolf Smithy was full of other items and I certainly wasn't gonna put it in the Newbie Shop.....so, I figured I'd just put it in the Trading Post until we made another Smithy or something.
Now, for those of you who don't know, the Trading Post is the place you go to trade in items for extra money if you'd like. The Long Sword is just there temporarily, so it doesn't really fit in with the other options you have there. It's not hard to get the wrong idea about the selection there.
Does that answer your question, Fhqwhgads? I hope so. Keep an eye out for other things that might cause confusion, because someone else might have wondered the same thing.
what game r u all talkin about? it would be helpful if i new what the conversation was about. plz reply

This section is for the MMORPG (Mass Multiplayer Online RPG). You know what an RPG is...you described that earlier, I believe. Anyways, we have one. It's called X Online: Vagrant Realms. Unfortunately, it's down right now, but we will bring it back up soon, new and improved. In the new version, you can send expressions, and there will be new music and sounds.
You can download this game in the X Arcade section of the site, Jena.
